Attention!: not to be confused with (alpe di cheggio in valle antrona valley... this is the alp at the very end of the valley. Not correct!
The village of Cheggio is reached if the exact address is entered into the navi, as indicated above.
The village "Cheggio" is located directly above Rivera.
Once in Rivera (village directly after Viganella - a small waterfall separates the two villages) follow instructions.
From Lausanne, Bern, Basel: to Brig and from there over the Simplon pass (Sempione) on the highway direction Milano until exit Villadossola. Follow the signs for Valle Antrona / Antrona Piana. In Valle Antrona until the village of Rivera (after Viganella).
From Zurich: to Bellinzona Nord and Locarno, from there through the Centovalli or via Verbania in the direction of Domodossola until the Villadossola exit. Continue as above.
From Munich: via Bregenz, Chur and Thusis through the Bernhardino tunnel to Bellinzona Nord and Locarno. Continue see above.
ARRIVAL BY TRAIN
to DOMODOSSOLA,
then continue by bus in the direction of "Antronapiana", or by taxi (40-50 euros).
ARRIVAL BY PLANE
To Milano / Malpensa, (the other airports are too far away).
from there by shuttle bus to Domodossola (about 1 hour).

From Domodossola TO "RIVERA
BUS in the direction of antronapiana leaves from the train station in Domodossola at these times:

WITH TAXI it is possible with some luck to be taken directly to the last parking place in front of the village... (it depends on the cab driver... sometimes they don't want to go up because the road is bad.
Cost 40-50 Euro
be sure to explain to the cab driver that the destination is the village of "Cheggio" next to the village of "Bordo", above "Rivera".
Attention: at the end of the valley there is the "Alpe di Cheggio".
This is not the right village.
From Rivera to the village of Cheggio, and there to the house Ambas-Dham:
About three hundred meters after the BAR "Cip e Ciop" at the end of the village there is a driveway on the right. (Do not continue on the road over the bridge).
After about 20 meters take the small forest road on the left and park at the luggage cable car Cheggio.
You can comfortably walk up the narrow road in about 15 minutes without your luggage (which can be transported up by the material cable car on request - 5 euro ).
WE ASK YOU TO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR AT THE UPPER PARKING PLACE
YOU CAN PUT IT IN ONE OF THE CURVES BEFORE REACHING THE PARKING PLACE OR DOWN ON THE CABLE CAR.
Arrived at the upper parking lot by the bridge, follow the path to the left by the image of the Virgin Mary ...
